My Child At School

As an academy we know how important the communication between school and home is. We would like to thank you for your support in terms of encouraging your children with their academic success and we’d like to make this even easier for you.

We are pleased to inform you that our new parent portal, MCAS (My Child At School), is now live. It will become a key means of communicating with you so we expect all parents to set up an MCAS account as soon as possible.

My Child At School is a secure online portal for parents/carers that enables you to view your child’s performance at school in real-time via the web or using the mobile app. Currently, the facility allows instant access to:
 Lesson Timetables;
 Attendance;
 Academic Calendar.

Creating a new MCAS Account (My Child At School Account)

Please follow the instructions below to set up your MCAS Account:

Please visit the desktop version of the website at
(please don’t set up via the mobile phone app):
1. Type in into the address bar.
2. Select ‘Redeem Invitation Code’
3. Complete all three sections using the details below (using capitals where necessary):
School ID: 11540;
Your Username will be sent to you;
Your Invitation Code (an initial password) to activate the account will be sent to you. This will be a unique 10 character alphanumeric code (which can only be used once to setup the Account).
4. Tick the I’m not a robot box
5. Select ‘Redeem Code’
6. On the next page complete all sections as requested. You will be asked for your email address and to create your own secure password (instructions
are given on screen as to how to ensure your password is secure). Once this
is accepted you will be directed to the login page; please enter school
Now you can proceed to set up the mobile phone app.

To set up the mobile phone app

The App is an easy to use alternative to the website once you have set up your account and password.
1. Download the app on play store/app store, simply search MCAS or mychildatschool and install.
2. Once installed the MCAS logo will appear. Open the app and complete the security prompts, (select your own preference of a 5-digit PIN).
3. Log in with the School ID (11540) Your User ID and password created earlier.
Once these have been input, they will be stored securely within the app and you will only need the PIN to access the app.

Once you have logged in the Dashboard will be displayed. The following options are currently displayed:
Academic Calendar
We encourage parents/guardians to look at the app daily to check if pupils have been registered for their lessons. Any messages sent out from school will also appear on your lock screen (ensure notifications are switched on for MCAS in your phone settings).
